I’m wondering if anyone has any thoughts on UniShield cable. I’ve noticed it refeences in the instructions for various separable connectors and shield adapter kits but I’ve never actually seen it in use and haven’t found a whole lot of info. In the utility-scale PV industry, 100% TRXLPE JCN seems to be king, followed by copper tape and EPR in a distant 2nd place for what are mostly underground 15-35kV installations. A separate ground is always run with the single-conductor cables. Just wondering if unishield would also be a good fit for this application and whether it costs less (because there are fewer extruded layers).
