Has anyone had success with any other software or app other than Autocad in creating Switchgear Elevation and Plan View drawings? I’ve spent countless hours messing with excel to get by. I’ve tried Visio, but cannot locate Switchgear or Substation Stencils. I only create the drawings for ease of discussing and tracking switchgear maintenance and testing. So, I cannot justify paying for and learning full blown autocad. I currently hire a drafter to create the file from my onsite sketch. That’s becoming to time consuming and counter productive. Any practical suggestions/solutions are greatly appreciated.
