Commercial Account Rules and Regulations

We value the expertise that manufactures and service providers offer to the community and we appreciate when they can provide technical support and answer questions for our members.

Manufacturers and service providers value increasing their brand awareness and expanding market reach to the community. In order to maintain a forum that is not bombarded with unwanted solicitation and sales pitches, we have some requirements and restrictions for this type of account.

  • Commercial accounts are expected to follow the same rules as our members.

  • No advertising or direct sales are allowed outside of the sponsored forum.

  • Posts should be technical, informative, and non-promotional in nature but you may reference your product or company

  • You may add a signature line to your post and it can contain your contact info, but no sales pitches or excessively large fonts will be allowed.

  • You may use your company logo as an avatar and profile picture.

  • Email address on file must be from the website domain of the company in which you represent.

  • You may fill out your profile with all your company details so members can learn more if they wish.

  • You may respond to specific technical questions that are asked on the site either by providing support or suggesting the best product for a job.

  • You MAY NOT self promote in any way other than having your profile branding.

The following is not allowed:

  • Private Messaging members with unsolicited offers.

  • Asking members to contact you directly or to see your profile for more information or deals.

  • Post new thread that in some way that seeks only to promote your company.

  • Respond to threads with short responses that add nothing to the conversation just to get your name out there.

  • Bashing other companies products or services that you compete with.
