Anybody have any creative ways of reaching the poles on hvcb without using a manlift?
Just thinking out loud it would seem to save allot of time for certain tests.

obviously it depends on the size of the breaker but I have routinely used a shotgun or hotstick to move my Doble Hooks and CT test leads. I don’t know an easy way to perform DLRO.
It looks pretty ridiculous but, in the past, I’ve sacrificed two extension cords (cut the plug off both ends, connect ring terminals) to attach to the DLRO leads and taped them to the end of telescoping paint roller handles. Some can give you about 20’ of reach, though you have to take the resistance of the extension cords into account for your final reading.
You might want to verify that, as most DLRO utilize (4-wire) Kelvin Bridge that specifically removes lead resistance. It might be your utilizing your extension cord incorrectly as you have to extend the voltage and current leads on both ends and land them on the test specimen with current on the outside to remove lead resistance measurements.
