Yes, previous experience and training count toward taking the NETA II exam, I used my Navy experience toward my NETA III. It really comes down to your company’s NETA representative as to what they accept and can provide the NETA organization. Also from NETAworld.org:
“Completion of two or more years of technical education in an electrical field shall be equivalent to a maximum of one year of related experience”
